We recognizes the importance of protecting the information that we collect from visitors to our web site.  it is our policy to use any personal information we acquire for internal business purposes only and this information is private.

Visitors may browse our website without disclosing their identity.  Personal information, voluntarily submitted will be used to contact users, primarily by email, to respond to comments or requests for information. The Department uses standard wed server log files and gathers navigational information about where users go on the web site to help us count visitors and evaluate the usefulness of the site.

We collect two types of information about web visitors: personal in (such as name and email address) which you voluntarily submit to us when you pass on information to us electronically and aggregate information (such as browser version and number of visitors).

• to provide updates on developments at the Department of Co-operatives and Friendly Societies

The Department will not trade, rent, sell, share or otherwise pass on personal information for use by any other party without owner's consent.  in exceptional circumstances, we may have to pass on in good faith information/request that we believe more appropriately to be directed to another agency for response.

DCFS web sit has links to other web sites.  The Department is not responsible for the privacy practices, security policy or content of such web sites.  we recommend that users carefully read the policy statements of each site that is visited.

 

Forms

DCFS web site use forms to allow users to provide information.  Visitor contact information (such as name, address, e-mail address, position, telephone number and fax number) may be collected.  Contact information from the form is used for direct communication, should the need arise.  this Ministry does not maintain a repository of this information after the initial communication.  E-mails are archived as a matter of record.

By using the web site, user signify acceptance of this Privacy Statement, and adherence to any terms and conditions posted on the web site.  The Department reserves the right to change, modify or amend this policy at any time.  Users are responsible for revisiting the Privacy Statement page from time to time to review any policy updates.

The Department will occasionally update this Privacy Statement.  At such time, the "last updated" date at the bottom of this statement will also be revised.

This Privacy Statement only applies to www.dcfsjamaica.org, it does not apply to other offline activities of the Department.
